BDO Digital Weighs in on Microsoft's Updated Direct CSP Requirements
May 24, 2018
Digital transformation is evolving the way companies and customers do business. To keep pace and help make the best decisions for businesses, Microsoft has updated enrollment requirements for direct bill partners in their very successful Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. The ultimate goal is to ensure steady business growth so they will be offering two specific support plans to help meet customers' specific support needs. The update also ensures that all of Microsoft's partners are positioned to address the growing customer demand for cloud solutions.
BDO Digital's Ric Opal believes the alignment of the CSP program will meet the needs and priorities of customers and further enable partners to unlock the digital transformation opportunity for customers.
Unquestionably, customers have to get value from the partner channel. Those two [support agreement] vehicles afford excellent support mechanisms for partners to use if they understand how to amortize that cost over the install base.

The intent of the CSP program is to allow partners to be creative with their solutions.
