Customer Challenge

A privately held, full-service financial services company with 1,100 employees and more than 30 locations enlisted BDO Digital’s help with migrating their legacy CRM system to the cloud. This would be accomplished by using Microsoft’s FastTrack, a service provided by Microsoft that helps customers onboard Microsoft Cloud solutions and drive user adoption.
Migrating Dynamics CRM 365 to the cloud would help the firm to improve productivity while reducing operational costs. According to Forrester, migrating on-premises deployments of Dynamics AX to Dynamics 365 in the cloud can help improve productivity of back-office operations staff by 3% and 9%, and an average of 10% across all employees.

BDO Digital Solution

BDO Digital led the migration and implementation of the Dynamics 365 CRM solution for two of the firm’s main business units: banking operations and wealth management operations. As part of the project, BDO Digital provided the migration of prospect and client data from the on-premises instance to the cloud. They updated the existing CRM functionality to support business processes and conducted the discovery, design, and implementation of CRM use cases to support the wealth management sales team.

With help from BDO Digital, the client has been able to consolidate on-premises licensing and support costs. They’ve also reduced on-premises infrastructure costs and have the ability to scale their CRM quickly and efficiently as the organization evolves.
